STORK GARWOOD CLEBRATES GRAND OPENING OF NEW EMC/EMI LAB IN SAN CLEMENTE
The newest member of the Stork family, Garwood laboratories Inc. held a formal grand opening for it relocated EMI/EMC laboratory on June 4th. Now located next to the environmental testing laboratory in Calle Iglesia San Clemente, CA, this location has become a true one-stop for environmental and EMC testing. (Jun 2008)

Stork Materials Technology has acquired a controlling interest in Garwood Laboratories of California, with an option to purchase all remaining shares in the future. In Remembrance of Jason Armstrong
Garwood Laboratories sadly announces the loss of James “Jason” Armstrong over last Fathers Day weekend. Son of Garwood owners Vernon “Jim” and Carol Armstrong, Jason was our Marketing Manager , and had twenty-two years of testing experience with Garwood . Jason literally grew up with Garwood since the 1980's, working alongside his father in creating the standard of quality testing in Southern California. (Jun 2007)

GARWOOD APPLAUDS FRANK DUNCANSON ON HIS SERVICE TO OTHERS!
Garwood would like to commend one of our employees, Frank Duncanson for his continued service to the community. Frank was part of the national call up by the American Red Cross to help in the response to the California Wildfires last fall. Being a local responder and familiar with the affected area, he helped bring needed assistance and relief to those affected by the fires. Garwood would like to applaud Frank in use of his time to help others in need (Nov 2007)

GARWOOD CONTINUES BUILDING THE BEST LABS!

We've added even more improvements at our main laboratory in Pico Rivera, CA. A full-height sound wall now segregates our vibration department from all other areas. A new floor surface was added for better traction in our NEBS testing lab. Hygroscopic Dust testing is now being performed in its own enclosed room next to the seismic testing area. (Dec 2008)

STORK GARWOOD SAN CLEMENTE ADDS FULL ENVIRONMENTAL & MIL/AERO EMC CAPABILITIES

Garwood Labs' San Clemente facility is now equipped to perform complete dynamics and climatics testing, as well as full MIL/Aero EMC testing. Capabilities include shock, vibration, acceleration, temperature/humidity, temperature/altitude, salt spray, temperature shock & thermal cycling. Our MIL/Aero EMC capabilities cover all aspects of RTCA/DO-160E, MIL-STD-461/462E, Boeing and Airbus standards to name a few. Radiated Susceptibility levels are in excess of 300 V/m up to 40GHz. GARWOOD PICO RIVERA ACHIEVES NIST/NVLAP ACCREDITATION

Garwood Laboratories' Pico Rivera facility now possesses the technical capability, proficiency and certification to perform EMC testing to a wide range of military and aerospace standards with the completion on its NVLAP accreditation (Lab Code 200713). This accreditation is necessary for NAVAIR and other branches of the armed services to accept test results on new products and systems. (Dec 2006)

STORK GARWOOD LABORATORIES ACCEPTED INTO VERIZON ITL PROGRAM

Garwood Laboratories Inc has been accepted as a Verizon Independent Testing Laboratory (ITL). This now allows Garwood Labs to test products for submittal to Verizon for Telcordia NEBS GR-63-CORE and GR-1089-CORE test programs. (Feb 2006)

GARWOOD LABORATORIES BECOMES WIFI CAPABLE Garwood Laboratories announces that it has completed setup to become a WiFi HotSpot for customers who are visiting Garwood's two-acre testing facility in Pico Rivera . Visitors can now get wireless access to the Internet via a WiFi Access Point at broadband speeds hundreds of times faster than a 56k dial-up modem. <FAQ on our WiFi Hotspot>

	GARWOOD OATS SITE CERTIFIED AT PICO RIVERA Garwood Laboratories, Inc. has completed the certification process for our improved OATS site at our Pico Rivera laboratory. The ground plane now is placed at ground level, and with the turntable system placed below ground. Faster testing is achived due to eliminating the two largest producers of ambient noise.

EMC DEPARTMENT EXPANDED AT PICO RIVERA TO PROVIDE COMPLETE WORLD COMPLIANCE TESTING. 

Garwood continues the ongoing commitment to helping our customers achieve world compliance through the expansion of our EMC department. This will allow full and complete Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing as well as complete physical testing under one roof. The benefit to our customers is the elimination of transportation time and exposure that occurs when testing at several laboratory facilities.

GARWOOD 3-METER LAB AND HOW IT SAVES YOU MONEY. 

Garwood's 3-meter chamber allows a project to save time and money by having the ability to eliminate high outside ambient noise, and the time needed to decipher ambient noise from EUT emissions when used for Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing. The 3-Meter also saves by allowing the single set up of the customer's equipment to complete the EMC program. Typically, several setup and teardown sequences have to occur when normal EMC testing is done due to the use of several test locations and chambers throughout a test project.

GARWOOD NEBS TESTING MANAGER HELPS EVALUATION ENGINEERING WITH THEIR PREMIERE NEBS TESTING ISSUE.

When Evaluation Engineering decided to focus their June issue on NEBS/ Telecommunications testing, they approached Garwood Laboratories for technical assistance.
