James Jason Armstrong
December 19th, 1967 – June 19th, 2007
Garwood laboratories sadly announces the loss of James “Jason” J. Armstrong over last fathers day weekend. Son of Garwood owners Vernon “Jim” and Carol Armstrong, Jason was the Marketing Manager and had twenty-two years of testing experience with Garwood and literally grew up with Garwood since the 1980's , with Jason working right next to his father in building Garwood to become the standard of quality testing in Southern California.
Working in several capacities on the lab floor, sales manger, EMC lab manager, Marketing Director, V.P. of business development and EMC Lab Manager for San Clemente; Jason always went where help was needed so that Garwood could continue to grow and provide quality service to our customers. Jason always was known to work hard and to learn quickly with what needed to be done in any new position he was moved into.
His life was full of family and adventure. From deep sea fishing trips in Mexico with his Dad, car racing with the Armstrong and Garwood family supporting him from the pits, Jason played as hard as he worked during the week. Jason believed in family and to the honor of those who had carried the Armstrong name before him. He was a representative of the Armstrong Scottish clan and shared the history and pride of his family lineage at local Highland games and festivals.
Jason leaves behind his young daughter Tiffani, sisters Heather & Jill, and his parents, Jim & Carol. The Garwood family, associates and Customers are with the Armstrong family in this time of grief.
We miss you Jason..
“When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no tears in a gloom-filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little but not for long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that we once shared
Miss me but let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take
And each must go alone
It's all a part of the master plan
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to the friend we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds
Miss me … but let me go.”
-A Scottish Farewell
“Don't Cry, (‘Cause I'm Gone)”
Father, you've been a friend to me
Giving all you had to build my personality
Just Remember, all the things we used to do
Building cars, fishing trips, those times just me and you.
I know sometimes I didn't show you I care
If something was wrong, well you know I'd be there
I'd hang on your shoulders, I know that you're strong
Yesterday's dreams are ours, so don't cry ‘cause I'm gone.
Mother, you were my very best friend
The confidence you had in me, would stay until the end
You were my savior, my sanctity
The times we had together, meant the world to me.
If there was one person, I kept close at hand
It would have been you, ‘cause you made me a man
Never look back and say anything's wrong
Cause the time that we had was ours,
Now don't cry ‘cause I'm gone.
I led a life, that other's dream
I found true love, what more could I need?
I guess it's my time, now He's calling for me …
Daughter, I see your smiling face
It warms my heart to think of you, in this special place
I'll always watch you, give you a helping hand
Think of me in troubled times, I'll always be your man.
When you look to the sky, in the morning or night
I'll be looking back down, and know everything's right
I may not be there in physical form,
But you'll always be my girl, so don't cry ‘cause I'm gone.
Everyone smile with me, just don't cry ‘cause I'm gone.
